THE ACADEMY FOR INTIMACY AND AWARENESS (Akademie für Intimität und Achtsamkeit, Gemeinwohlfördender Kunst- und Kulturverein, ZVR 1811854513) is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 2020 and is based in Vienna, Austria. The goal of the association is to evolve culture, to investigate the challenges of human existence and create solutions. Our main focus is connection and consent, we want to end loneliness and sexual violence, we want to empower each other, learn about communication and empathy, and create community with a sense of belonging.
Our main project is the Intimate Revolution festival, a consent-aware space where we can explore new ways of interacting with empathy. The festival is designed as an immersive art experience that utilizes lectures, workshops and performances to evolve our ability to connect, and stay connected, in an ever-changing world.
